125 Years of THALETEC
Our story goes back more than 300 years, starting with the traditions of Eisenhüttenwerk (EHW) Thale in 1686.
In the 1800s, we began producing glass-lined vessels for domestic use, such as pots, pans and bathtubs – pioneering industrial glass-lining on the European mainland.
In 1900, we reached another milestone: the production of the first large glass-lined vessels for the chemical industry. In 2025, we proudly celebrate 125 years of glass-lined large-scale vessel manufacturing – a tradition that continues to this day.
Over the decades, THALETEC has introduced numerous innovations, including the world’s only glass-lined U-tube bundle heat exchanger (k014) and specialized developments like electrically conductive glass-lining Condusist (k098).
Today, we combine tradition with innovation, sustainability, and digitalization. With vessels up to 100,000 liters in volume and a weight of glass-lined equipment up to 30 tons, we continue to set the standard – Made in Germany.
We are proud of our history and excited to carry this tradition into the future.
